Redthirty started as a name for a spreadsheet and turned into something closer to a philosophy: build the things you care about like they're real, even before they're a real company.
By day, I work in Salesforce enterprise architecture — designing systems that need to scale, stay reliable, and survive contact with real organizations. It's demanding work, and it's taught me a lot about sequencing, risk, and building things properly the first time.
Outside of that, I'm putting the same discipline toward a handful of pursuits I actually care about: building a home ice training studio, developing youth hockey players, following Vegas Golden Knights hockey, living with a Tesla, restoring a Jeep for rock crawling, and trading futures. redthirty is the name that ties it together — a fictitious LLC for now, and a placeholder for the real thing I've wanted to build for a long time.
Because most good things start that way. Writing it down, giving it a name, and holding myself to a standard is how projects like the rink build or the trading process actually get finished instead of staying someday-ideas. This site is the public face of that — a running log of the pursuits, and eventually, maybe, the foundation of something real.
