Development

Youth Hockey

Player development done the way it should be — skill-first, habit-driven, and built for the long term.

The philosophy

Youth hockey development is one of the pursuits I care most about outside of work — helping players build the skills, habits, and hockey sense that actually hold up as the game gets faster. That means edgework and puck skills before systems, off-ice training that supports on-ice performance, and treating practice quality as more important than practice volume.

This page will track the development work as it grows: training philosophy, off-ice programming, and eventually the home ice studio built specifically to make extra reps possible without needing a rink schedule.

Coming together with: the home ice rink studio build, designed specifically to support this kind of development work year-round.
