The JKU is lifted and running 35-inch tires, with a carbon-fiber-textured wrap over the body — the project that lives at the intersection of engineering and getting your hands dirty. Suspension, armor, gearing, and drivetrain work, all in service of a rig that can actually handle technical terrain instead of just looking the part. It's a build done in stages: suspension and tires first, then armor and protection, then the drivetrain and gearing changes that make the rest of it work together on the trail.
The rear plate reads P226 — a nod to the SIG Sauer P226, the sidearm long carried by Navy SEALs. This page will carry the build sheet as it develops — parts, install notes, trail reports, and the inevitable lessons learned the hard way.
